2021 STEAK CHALLENGE IS HOSTED BY FAREWAY, FIRETRUCKER AND ROSE FESTIVAL
 

Back at it again!  “Building the Sport of Steak Cookoffs” right here in IOWA! For the first time Rose Festival BBQ is helping build the contest world with Firetrucker. Rose Festival has worked with Fareway in the past at our steak contest a few years ago. Firetrucker is currently working with Fareway with their beer being added to brat patties.

In partnership with the Firetrucker and sponsored by Fareway, this will be the first of it’s kind of competition for competitive cookers.  The Firetrucker Fareway Steak Challenge is planning to held on Saturday, October 16th, 2021. We are excited to offer this event in our community, and encourage competitors to join the excitement and help grow the sport of steak cook-offs!

Registration:
Steak Entry Fee – $125.00 Payment must be made at the time of registration to guarantee a spot in the cookoff. We do have the option of online payment. Follow this link, tinyurl.com/FTBrewBQ

RULES & REGULATIONS: Any photos taken by the Rose Festival Association of State Center.  Contestant agrees to indemnify and hold the Rose Festival Association of State Center, it’s board members, and volunteers harmless from any and all claims made against Rose Festival Association of State Center, including without limitation, all costs, liabilities, judgments, expenses, damages, and attorney’s fees, arising out of or in connection with (1) any structure erected by Contestant (2) any apparatus, equipment, or personal property used by Contestant (3) any act or omission to act of Contestant, its agents, invitees, participants, representatives, employees, servants, and agents (4) any claims made on account or resulting from Contestant’s participation in the contest (5) The decision of the ***representative is final on all judging decisions.

All steaks will be provided by Firetrucker (donated by Fareway). Each team will be given 2 competition steaks to cook and will turn in the best one for judging.

Cook spaces will be limited to 10×15 spaces due to space restrictions. No motorhomes or travel trailers allowed in the cook area.
